Mitch Wishnowsky’s wife, Madelon “Maddie” Leiphardt Wishnowsky, played volleyball at Santa Barbara City College while pursuing her arts degree.

Madelon Rose Leiphardt Wishnowsky, better known as Maddie Wishnowsky, was born on May 18 in Goleta, California, to parents Michelle and Jeff Leiphardt.

Her parents were also athletes, let alone Madelon. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that Maddie grew interested in sports, given that her parents were athletes.

Her mother, Michelle, was a water skier, and her father, Jeff, played volleyball at Santa Barbara City College.

Standing at 5 feet 9 inches, Maddie followed in their footsteps, playing beach volleyball while pursuing an arts degree at Santa Barbara City College.

However, she didn’t play volleyball professionally. After college, she worked as a physical therapist assistant in Salt Lake City, Utah, in 2018, leveraging her knowledge of sports and physical fitness.

She also served as head coach at the Santa Barbara Volleyball Club.

Later, in 2026, Maddie ventured into the entrepreneurial world, launching her own swimwear brand,

Mitch Wishnowsky and first crossed paths in 2014 at Santa Barbara City College in California.

The Australian-born punter, Mitch, had moved to the U.S. to pursue a career in American football after training at Prokick Australia.

He enrolled at Santa Barbara City College to build his academic credentials and punt for the college’s football team, the Vaqueros.

During that time, Maddie, a Dos Pueblos High School alum, was a standout indoor and beach volleyball player at SBCC.

Mitch and Maddie’s relationship began in 2017, a pivotal time as Mitch transitioned from his college career at the University of Utah to pursue his NFL dreams.

Maddie, who later played beach volleyball at Cal State Northridge and Loyola Marymount, supported Mitch as he pursued his football dreams.

Later, in June 2019, during a romantic trip to Hawaii, Mitch proposed to Maddie, sharing the moment on Instagram with the caption

She’s officially stuck with me, I get to spend my entire life with my soulmate.

Apparently, the couple tied the knot on April 7, 2026, after a four-year engagement; however, intricate details of their marriage remain concealed.

Now, Mitch and Maddie are proud parents to two children.

The couple first stepped into parenthood with the arrival of their daughter, Bowie, born on October 30, 2026, just hours before a 49ers game against the Chicago Bears.

The birth was a chaotic yet joyful moment, with Maddie going into labor later than expected and Mitch, overwhelmed with nerves, unable to eat, and vomiting.

After a tough delivery, Maddie earned a game ball from 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan, who praised her toughness, saying, “I heard she was very tough.”

Mitch flew to Chicago on a private jet hours after Bowie’s birth, arriving just in time for the game, which the 49ers won 33-22. He brought the game ball home to Maddie and Bowie, calling it “their game ball.

Later, in July 2026, Mitch and Maddie expanded their family of three to four with the birth of their second child, a son named Winn.
