David Bing, a seven-time NBA All-Star and politician who served as the 74th mayor of Detroit, Michigan has been married to his wife, Yvette Bing for more than 23 years.

Born on November 24, 1943, he started his career as a standout player at Syracuse University in 1964.

During his 12-season career with the Detroit Pistons, Washington Bullets, and Boston Celtics, he won the Rookie of the Year in 1967 and NBA All-Star Game MVP in 1976.

Retiring in 1978, he transitioned into a successful businessman, founding Bing Steel and growing it into a multi-million-dollar enterprise.

Dave Bing’s wife, Yvette Bing, is Known for her Support and Presence Throughout His Career

Yvette Bing has been a steadfast pillar of strength for Dave Bing throughout his career in sports, business, and public service.

The couple has been married for several decades but the exact date of their marriage is unknown.

Bing was previously married to his high school sweetheart, Aaris. However, there is no information available regarding their divorce.

Dave Bing has three daughters altogether: Cassaundra Bing, Aleisha Bing, and Bridgett Bing.

Moreover, they have built a family that includes four grandchildren but they lead a private life.

Bing is also the godfather of Jalen Rose, an American sports analyst and former professional basketball player.

Dave Bing served as the Mayor of Detroit from 2009 to 2013, taking on the role during a period of significant financial and structural challenges for the city.

Regarding her grandmother, Yvette Bing said,

“She is a very positive influence in my life. My grandmother is a very spiritual person and I picked up some of that from her. And she’s very kind. She’s my grandmother but she’s like the whole neighborhood’s grandmother too. That’s the type of person she is. Of course, being 100 years old, she’s not as active as she used to be, but when she was younger she was very active in the community.”
