Georgia Southern University Offensive Lineman Tay McKibbins Died, Survived by Parents Britney Robinson and Harold McKibbins!

Tay Kibbins, born to parents Harold McKibbins and Britney Robinson, passed away on March 6, 2026, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer.

The 18-year-old promising football player left behind his parents, and , younger brother Carter Stoval, and grandmother .

While Tay McKibbins’ mother, Britney, affectionately known as Brit, and father, Harold, have yet to break the silence surrounding his demise, his aunt Shanae Nae has expressed her grief on social media.

Aunt Shanae Nae took to her Facebook to express her pain amid the ordeal, writing:

PRAY FOR MY FAMILY PLEASE IM TRYING TO HOLD ON BUT BABY IM BREAKING IN HALF.

I LOVE YOU NEFU

Likewise, Tay McKibbins’ parents’ close friend, Dominique Harris, also penned an eulogy expressing her compassion and pain. She wrote:

I Am So Brokenhearted 💔 To Watch Babies Grow Up Literally From Babies 👶🏾 To Teenagers, Eventually Into Little Adults & Hear Such Heartbreaking ❤️‍🩹 News! I’m Sending My Heart Felt Condolences 💐 To Not Only Some Of My Truest Friends, But To People I Can Truly Call Family! I Am So Sorry 😢 B Brit Brat & Harold Mckibbins I Could Never Ever Begin To Imagine Even An Inch Of You Alls Pain! Sweet Baby Boy Tayvian I Am So Sorry 😢 Baby, This Was Way Too Soon & You Were Way To Young. You Tore My Heart Up With This 1. I Love 💗 You All So Much, Always One Call Away!

It appears that Tay McKibbins’ parents, Brit and Harold, aren’t together; however, details surrounding their relationship remain away from the limelight.

Tay McKibbins Had Enrolled at Georgia Southern In January 2026!

Born Tayvion James Donteavious McKibbins, better known as , he was a freshman offensive lineman for the Georgia Southern University football team.

Originally from metro Atlanta, Tay McKibbins had a promising football career ahead of him.

He had graduated early from Cass High School in Bartow County. McKibbins played for Coach Steven Gates at Cass High School, where he was recognized as a talented interior offensive lineman.

As a junior in high school, McKibbins was honored as a second-team all-region selection.

He had enrolled at Georgia Southern not long ago, in January 2026, majoring in business as an early enrollee eager to make a mark as a collegiate football player.

Nonetheless, McKibbins’s time at Georgia Southern was cut tragically short when he was diagnosed with cancer, and the fight claimed his life just months after his arrival.

His skills on the field earned him a ranking as the No. 174 interior offensive lineman in the country and the No. 221 player in the state by 247Sports.

Following his tragic demise, Georgia Southern Football took to its social media platforms to express condolences.

The Georgia Southern football community, including head coach Clay Helton, expressed deep sadness at his loss. Clay Helton said:

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our friend and teammate, Tay McKibbins. Tay lost his battle with cancer this morning and our thoughts and prayers are with his family in Atlanta.He was taken away from us far too young, but his memory will always be etched on our hearts. He is forever an Eagle. Love you, Tay!
