Although born in Tampa, Florida, Matthew and his family stayed for some years in Georgia during his early childhood before settling down in Dallas, Texas.

The couple welcomed their twin daughters, Chandler and Sawyer, on March 28, 2017. Although it was no surprise to them that they were going to have twins, they were excited as they were going to be the parents of their eldest ones.
On March 12, 2017, Kelly posted on Instagram appreciating how good a husband Matt was, and now that they were going to have two beautiful girls, he would also be a wonderful dad.
