Trey Rickman, a Columbus, Mississippi, native and local dirt-car racer, passed away at an untimely age of 28, leaving his family and loved ones devastated.
The dirt-car racing star, Trey Rickman, passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2026, unexpectedly; however, details regarding the cause of his untimely death are not yet available.
The late came from a family of racers and began his racing journey from a very young age of 14.
He competed in the P.R.O. Dirt Car Series Super Late Model tour event at the Columbus Speedway.
Trey was the youngest of three generations of local racers, with his father, Rick, Uncle Brian, and grandfather, Eddie, all being exceptional dirt-car racers, and the family is renowned for Rickman Racing, founded by his grandfather, Eddie, in 1968.
In addition to his racing journey, the late Trey Rickman also showcased his athletic skills playing football at high school and college.
He was a member of the New Hope High School boys’ varsity football team.
Furthermore, the untimely death of Trey Rickman has left a profound void in the lives of his family, friends, and loved ones.
Social Media Filled With Tributes For The Late Trey Rickman
The whole Columbus, Mississippi, community is mourning the untimely death of their beloved member, Trey Rickman, and sending their heartfelt condolences to his family during this difficult time.
Trey Rickman not only won the hearts of many with his amazing racing skills but also with his charming and kind nature.
Similarly, many of his close ones are recalling the memories of late Trey Rickman and paying tribute to him on social media.
GFP Rickman Racing took to their Facebook page to express their sorrow and wrote:
“It is with great sorrow that we share the news of Trey Rickman’s passing, a brilliant light that shone brightly in the lives of all who knew him. We humbly request your continued prayers for Rick, Charlotte, Carson, and the entire circle of Trey’s friends and family. Trey’s generous spirit and compassionate heart left an indelible mark on our lives. Thank you for your overwhelming support; your prayers are a precious gift. #Forever96 #Godspeed”
Another added:
“I’ve been trying to find the right words, but I can’t. This one hurts.
We fought like brother and sister, but no matter what, we were always there for each other. 28 years just wasnt long enough!!Please wrap RickandCharlotte Rickman, his family, his friends, and the entire racing community in your prayers!!!”
His loved ones have also created a page to support Trey Rickman’s family. The fundraiser aims to collect $9k, and to date, around $5,858 has been raised, which is 65 percent of the total goal.
Trey Rickman is survived by his parents, Rick and Charlotte Rickman, his brother, Crason, his son, his partner, Alexandra Jackson, and the whole family.
His partner, Alexandra Jackson, took to her social media to express her love and appreciation for the late Trey Rickman. She wrote:
“God to wake up without you has been the worst nightmare I could imagine! I’m gonna miss you so much my sweet man! Thank you for being so good to me and Bella despite your struggles. Never once did you raise your voice you were so kind and gentle and loving! You were my person.. you were gonna be the best girl dad.. I hope our baby has your eyes and your sweet smile ! I love you so much Trey!”
