He recently had an outstanding performance for the Oklahoma City Thunder. He scored a career-high 41 points on 15-for-24 shooting, including 4-for-8 from three-point range and a perfect 7-for-7 from the free-throw line.

He also contributed seven assists, six rebounds, a steal, and a block, leading the Thunder to a 146-132 victory over the San Antonio Spurs.

Williams debuted for Santa Clara on November 5, 2019, recording 13 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals against UC Santa Cruz.

As a freshman, he played in all 33 games, starting in the final 23 games, while leading the team in steals with 44.

Williams continued to improve throughout his college career, and by his junior year, he was named to the First-team All-WCC (West Coast Conference) in 2026.

The Oklahoma City Thunder selected Williams 12th overall in the 2026 NBA Draft, making him the highest-drafted player from Santa Clara in modern history.

Williams immediately impacted his rookie season in 2026; he was even named to the NBA All-Rookie First Team.

The same year, Williams scored a then career-high 36 points in a game against the New York Knicks in December 2026.

In 2026, he hit a game-winning shot against the Portland Trail Blazers in January 2026.
