Waterloo Coach Loses Temper in NY B-Team Game, Shoves East Rochester/Gananda President, Calls Kids ‘Pussies’

During a recent B-team football match between Waterloo and East Rochester/Granada, tensions escalated after a player was ejected.

The player was forced to leave the field after receiving two unsportsmanlike conduct penalties, which is automatic in football.

According to the referee, the Waterloo coach, who also serves as president of the Waterloo Youth Football, was left angered by the player’s dismissal.

Concerns Arise Over the Display of Aggression in front of Young Athletes

Despite several warnings and opportunities given to the youth player, the Waterloo player’s unsportsmanlike conduct persisted, forcing the referee to impose penalties.

The Waterloo Coach/President, frustrated with the decision, allegedly called the Rochester/Granada players “pussies”.

He reportedly even shoved the opposition team’s president during a discussion about continuing the games, even though the referee tried to flow the game smoothly prior, despite the circumstances.

The referee noted that both teams’ coaches initially tried to focus on the youth game; however, the situation worsened when the Waterloo coach lost his temper.

Marisa Alberti, who was present at the game, wrote,

“When our coaches spoke about how player #55 was acting on the field, their coach allegedly said “he’s too dumb to know any better”. wtf? Although violence esp in front of children is WRONG and I dont condone it, I’m grateful they stuck up for our kids. I’ll forever stick up for our Coaches for this. Waterloo do better all around”

Many parents and coaches have raised questions about the president’s ethics. At the same time, some have even blamed other parents for making the situation worse and for getting physically involved instead of controlling it.

While others have also expressed concerns over the display of aggression from grown adults in front of young athletes, they have called for better conduct from all youth sports officials.

East Rochester/Gananda parents and coaches condemned the opposition’s behavior but appreciated their coaches’ efforts to stand up for their players.

The School district has made no official disciplinary actions as of now. However, the incident has sparked discussions among kids about sportsmanship, coaching, accountability, and the impact of adult behavior on youth athletes.

With such growing incidents around the country, parents and adults have been asked to control the situation and handle their children/athletes responsibly, and not be involved in the brawl.
