- He was 10 years old when he wanted to be a wrestler.
- At the age of 14, Rose dropped out of school and ran away from his home. For the next 2 years, he slept and lived at abandoned buildings and the streets.
- During his teenage years, he had turned to violence and alcohol. He once claimed that it was only his ambition to become a wrestler that aided him in choosing the right path.
- He once stated that he rejected his family despite them having called him back on more than one occasion. Eventually, he returned from Durban to his parent’s home in Johannesburg after his mother promised to enroll him into a wrestling school.
- He is a party organizer and also owns a party bus called “The Exotic Express”.
- Rose made his debut as a professional wrestler in 1995 and took up the ring name “Z-Max” from the character in The Karate Kid.
- In 2010, Adam broke his neck during a match with wrestler Bo Rotundo.
- Adam was suspended for 60 days after being found in violation of WWE’s Wellness Program for the second time.
- He was arrested on May 11, 2016, at Hillsborough County, Florida on the accounts of domestic violence and tampering with one of the witnesses. However, the charges were dropped later on.
