    Brandon Marsh Facts

    1. He grew up as a multisport athlete and played American football, basketball, and baseball.
    2. During his time at Buford High School, Marsh grew from 5 ft 9 in (175 cm) to 6 ft 4 in (193 cm). It was after his growth in height that he attracted the attention of college recruiters.
    3. He batted .370 with 15 runs batted in (RBI) during his junior baseball season. Along with teammate Joey Bart (a future Major League Baseball (MLB) catcher), he led his high school team to a Georgia High School Association state championship title.
    4. In the 2016 MLB Draft, he was picked by the Los Angeles Angels out of high school in the second round, 60th overall. He subsequently signed a $1.07 million signing bonus.
    5. Brandon Marsh was then assigned to the AZL Angels, a Rookie-level team in the Los Angeles Angels farm system. However, he spent the season on the disabled list after being diagnosed with an asymptomatic back injury.
    6. In the year 2017, he made his professional debut with the Orem Owlz and batted .533 with eight runs scored and six RBI in his first three Pioneer League games.
    7. Brandon Marsh’s professional career was interrupted when he sprained his thumb while sliding into a base on June 28, 2017. Due to the injury, he missed one month and eventually returned on July 28 and went on to finish the season with a .350 batting average, 22 extra-base hits, and 44 RBI in 39 games.
    8. With the Burlington Bees (the Los Angeles Angels‘ Low-A affiliate), he started the 2018 season. Afterward, he was promoted to the Class A-Advanced Inland Empire 66ers on May 18 and went on to finish the season batting .256 in 93 California League games, with seven home runs and 46 RBI in 371 at-bats.
    9. He finished the 2019 season batting .300 with seven home runs and 43 RBI in 96 games as well as received both Mid- and Post-Season All-Star honors from the Southern League.
    10. On July 18, 2026, Brandon Marsh was promoted to the Los Angeles Angels after injuries to and Justin Upton left the team with few outfield options. The same day, he made his MLB debut starting in center field in the Angels‘ 7–4 loss to the Seattle Mariners.
    11. On July 19, 2026, he recorded his first three major league hits as well as an RBI on a ninth-inning double as the Los Angeles Angels lost 4–1 to the Oakland Athletics.
    12. The Los Angeles Angels traded Brandon Marsh to the Philadelphia Phillies on August 2, 2026, in exchange for catching prospect Logan O’Hoppe.
    13. He went on to hit his first triple on August 31, 2026, in a Philadelphia Phillies 18-2 win against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
