- Darci loved to sing as a child but was shy to sing in front of a crowd.
- As a child, she participated in the International Cinderella Scholarship Program and was crowned International Mini Miss at that pageant and also got to meet International Teen titleholder Laryssa Bonacquisti, who was also a ventriloquist.
- It was Laryssa Bonacquisti who proved out to be an inspiration for Darci and she was really drawn to ventriloquism.
- After practicing the tips given by Laryssa, Darci asked her parents to get her a puppet but her mother was not very thrilled as she told Darci that she was a singer and not a ventriloquist.
- In 2014, she secured the first position in Edmond’s Got Talent after just a month of preparation.
- In 2017, she took part in the 12th season of the famous TV reality show, America’s Got Talent, and emerged as a winner.
- For the first episode of America’s Got Talent, Darci performed a comedy–singing act with her girly rabbit puppet named Petunia. The act featured Petunia interrupting Darci so she could continue singing instead.
- The video of her first performance with Petunia on America’s Got Talent became the most socially viewed video in the show’s history just within 30 hours of broadcast. It later peaked at the 4th spot on YouTube’s list of the Top 10 Trending Videos of 2017.
