    Diamond White is an American singer and actress who has lent her voice to several characters in films such as Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Across the 2nd Dimension (2011), The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar (2015), The Lion Guard: The Rise of Scar (2017), and The Emoji Movie (2017). She had also played the role of Tiffany Simmons in both Boo! A Madea Halloween (2016) and Boo 2! A Madea Halloween (2017). Before this, she had become a household name in the United States in 2012 after participating in the year’s American version of The X Factor, where she had finished in 5th place. As a singer, her debut EP titled Pressure was released in 2015 when she was just 16 years old after which she released several successful singles. Additionally, she has also worked in several TV series voicing numerous characters and playing roles such as Holly in the animated musical comedy TV series Phineas and Ferb (2010-2014), Francine Greene in the animated superhero TV series Transformers: Rescue Bots (2011-2016), and Fuli in the animated TV series The Lion Guard (2016-2019). She has also played minor, episodic roles in popular TV series like The Big Bang Theory (2013), Black-ish (2016), and Empire (2019).

    1. Diamond’s father had abandoned the family when she was just 7 years old after which she was raised by her mother. They struggled financially for a long time even after Diamond’s very young career had taken off and the mother-daughter duo would often sleep on a couch in a small ‘box apartment’ in Los Angeles.
    2. In 2007, at the age of just 8, she had starred in a Chicago-based theatre production of The Color Purple, a 1982 novel by American author Alice Walker which had won the 1983 ‘Pulitzer Prize for Fiction’, that went on to tour nationally. 3 years later, at the age of 11, she was chosen to play the character of Young Nala in Disney’s The Lion King musical.
    3. When she participated in the 2012 edition of The X Factor, she was being mentored by pop icon . After the first live show, she lost in a sing-off against and had lost out on a place in the ‘Top 12’. However, a week later, she was given a lifeline, getting a wildcard entry into the expanded ‘Top 13’.
    4. She had dedicated her performance of the song Because You Loved Me, which had helped her break into ‘The Top 8’ of that competition, to her mother.
    5. In 2013, she had performed a song titled Peace on the occasion of ‘World Refugee Day’ which was developed in collaboration with noted German music producer Toby Gad.
