- At primary school, Glenn had to learn how to bat left-handed as no bowler could dismiss him when he batted in his normal right-handed stance. He was even told that he would get banned from playing unless he switched to left-handed batting.
- Glenn began his cricketing journey in the Australian junior circuit. He used to be a pace bowler at that time before remodeling his run-up to become an off-break bowler.
- He was the most expensive player at the 2013 IPL auctions when the franchise team Mumbai Indians snapped him up for 1 million USD.
- For his performances in the 2014 IPL, he was named in ESPN Cricinfo‘s “IPL XI OF 2014”.
- For his stellar all-around show at the 2014 ICC World T20, he was named in the ‘Team of the Tournament’ by both ICC and ESPN Cricinfo.
