Ian Gelder is an English actor, stage actor, and voiceover artist who is known for his television roles like Mr Dekker in the sci-fi series Torchwood: Children of Earth, Affie/Prince Alfred in the drama series Edward the King, Kevan Lannister in the fantasy drama series Game of Thrones, and Norman Gordon in the crime comedy-drama series Snatch. - He made his first film appearance by playing the role of Reverend Samuel Barnacle in Little Dorrit, a 1987 film adaptation of the 1857 novel Little Dorrit by Charles Dickens.
- Ian Gelder was cast as Aio in the international epic film, Pope Joan (German: Die Päpstin), in 2009. The film is based on American novelist Donna Woolfolk Cross’ novel of the same name about the legendary Pope Joan.
