- Insoo aspired to become a singer ever since he was a young boy.
- When he applied for admission in Anyang Arts High School, he wanted to major in Theater and Film but his application was denied and so, he ended up pursuing Dance.
- He avoided dance for the first 2 years of his high school but finally had to perform in order to get through graduation.
- It was only when he saw a teacher performing the ballet that he fell in love with the art and also got trained in modern dance.
- After his graduation, for 2 years, he trained rhythmic gymnasts Son Yeon-jae and Shin Soo-ji as a ballet instructor.
- He released his solo album, Naked, in September 2017 which ranked at #19 in the Oricon Albums Chart.
- He was enlisted for the mandatory military service in October 2017, a month after the release of his solo album.
