At 8, she started writing songs. Her first song was titled “Notice Me” which she wrote for her primary school graduation.
Mandolin was the first musical instrument she learned to play.

Some sources say that her eyes are “hazel” rather than dark brown. Her hair varies in color especially in the kacey Musgraves Christmas Show where in one performance the back of her hair was blue in a 360 degree camera roll singing “Christmas Makes me Cry’. Another scene with Leon Bridges shows the both of them walking on the ceiling (Kacey was barefoot) with Kacey’s hair (dark brown in this scene) not falling over when upside down. Was that a camera trick for the both of them? Also in that show, her hair appears black at the top with brown streaking down in some of the scenes.. Was that an extension or a 2-color dye job?
