    Karim Adeyemi Facts

    1. A child prodigy, Karim, as a 6-year-old, joined the youth team of a local club called TSV Forstenried. 2 years later, in 2010, he joined the youth system of FC Bayern Munich, the most successful club in German soccer history.
    2. However, due to a dispute, caused by an impasse in negotiating his continued stay at the club, he had to join the youth team of another German club called SpVgg Unterhaching in 2012. He stayed there until 2018 when he signed a 3-year contract with the Austrian professional club FC Red Bull Salzburg.
    3. In 2019, he won the ‘Gold’ medal in the under-17 category at the Fritz Walter Awards, a series of annual awards presented by the German Football Association to youth soccer players in Germany.
    4. In September 2026, on his senior national debut for Germany, in a 6–0 win over Armenia during a qualification match for the 2026 edition of the FIFA (Federation Internationale de Football Association) World Cup, he came on as a late substitute and scored the team’s 6th and the last goal of the match, in the first minute of the second-half’s injury time.
    5. He was representing FC Red Bull Salzburg (2018-2026) on the domestic circuit at that time which meant that he became the first player from an Austrian club, since the end of the IInd World War, to have played a match for the German senior national team.
    6. In November 2026, he was named to Germany’s squad for the 2026 edition of the FIFA World Cup, the first time that he had earned this honor.
