He had started his career with a string of Bhojpuri-language films in 2002 and then had taken an extended break from acting, returning in 2007 with the Doordarshan drama series Sautela. Krushna gained his big break in 2008 when he began participating in the popular standup comedy-based reality show franchise Comedy Circus. Since then, he has participated in and hosted several comedy reality shows winning several accolades for his stellar work.

- He had participated in Season 3 (2007) of the dance reality show Nach Baliye, earning 3rd position in the competition.
- He won the “Best Actor in a Comic Role” award at the 2014 Indian Telly Awards for his work in the Comedy Circus franchise.
- In 2016, Krushna was placed in Forbes India‘s ‘Celebrity 100’ list.
- Krushna won the “Popular Comedy-Duo” award, with his partner and comedian at the prestigious Indian Television Academy (ITA) awards in 2015. He won another ITA award in 2019, in the category “Best Actor in a Comic Role”, for his work on The Show.
- Krushna tried his hand in the field of film production for the first time with the 2019 movie Marne Bhi Do Yaaron, which was directed by his wife Kashmera Shah.
- In February 2019, he was trapped in a sting operation by a team of investigating journalists. The journalists posed as fake businessmen and offered him sizeable compensation for posting favorable messages for a particular party in the run-up to the May 2019 General Elections in India.
