- He was born and raised in the village of Ferozpur, Punjab.
- Growing up, Bishnoi’s father worked as a constable in the Haryana Police but resigned from the force in 1997 and became a farmer.
- In 2011, Bishnoi became part of the Panjab University Campus Students Council. It was there that Lawrence met Goldy Brar (real name Satinder Singh), who is also a gangster with whom Bishnoi began getting involved in university politics and also committed various crimes.
- It was as early as 2010, that Bishnoi began committing crimes and had several first information reports that were registered against him for crimes which included attempts to murder, trespassing, assault, and robbery to name a few. They were all done while he was committed to student politics.
- In 2018, Lawrence was accused of being associated with the attempted assassination of actor due to his involvement in the Black Buck hunting case. His involvement is considered to be of such as the Bishnoi community considers the Black Buck to be sacred. Further, the police stated that Lawrence stated “Salman Khan will be killed here, in Jodhpur… Then he will come to know about our real identity… Now, if the police want me to do some major crime, I shall kill Salman Khan and that too in Jodhpur” while he was being transported to the Jodhpur court in Rajasthan.
- A key member of Lawrence’s gang, Goldy Brar was involved in the death of Punjabi singer on May 29, 2026, in Mansa, Punjab. During the interrogation, he revealed that he had done so under the planning of Bishnoi.
- In July 2026, Lawrence was reportedly hospitalized in Punjab due to high fever, vomiting, and stomach ache.
- In July 2026, Lawrence’s aide Vikram Brar (real name – Vikramjeet Singh) was arrested from Dubai, UAE in relation to Sidhu Moosewala’s murder. Vikram was wanted in 11 cases.
