- She was 13 years old when she started acting.
- In 2012, Mahima Makwana started playing the role of Rachna Garg Tripathi in the television drama show, Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke, in which she co-starred alongside , Ankit Gera, and Piyush Sahdev. This role won her the 2012 Zee Rishtey Awards in categories like “Favourite Behen”, “Favourite Beti”, and “Favourite Naya Sadasya-Female” as well as the 2013 Zee Rishtey Award for “Favourite Behen”.
- She made her first film appearance by playing the role of Chaitra in the 2017 Telugu crime thriller film, Venkatapuram.
