    1. On September 20, 1988, he released his debut studio album In Control, Volume 1 and it includes songs like We Write the Songs (ft. and Biz Markie), The Rebel (ft. ), The Symphony (ft. Master Ace, Craig G, , and ), Keep Your Eye on the Prize (ft. Master Ace and Action), Droppin’ Science (ft. Craig G), and Live Motivator (ft. Tragedy Khadafi). The album peaked at #25 on the US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums (Billboard) chart and at #163 on the US Billboard 200 chart.
    2. Marley Marl’s 2nd studio album In Control Volume II (For Your Steering Pleasure) was released in 1991 and it peaked at #46 on the US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums (Billboard) chart and at #152 on the US Billboard 200 chart.
