    Necro Facts

    1. He was born to Israeli expatriates.
    2. Around the age of 6 years old to age 14, Necro spent his years growing up in the Glenwood Houses, a moderate to low income public housing development in the Flatlands section of the New York City borough.
    3. He then shifted to Canarsie when he was 14 years old.
    4. He has been a member of the death metal band Injustice, formed in 1986.
    5. Necro produced and directed the 1996 short crime film titled 187 Reasonz Y. The film’s theme was anti-cop with a police officer getting shot in the head at the end of the film.
    6. In November 1999, he founded Psycho+Logical-Records, an independent record label based in New York City.
    7. Necro released his debut studio album I Need Drugs on November 7, 2000, via Psycho+Logical-Records. In a review for AllMusic, critic Jon Azpiri stated that “the album’s unwavering desire to shock us is what makes it so boring” and that “the production is remarkably bland.” The album included songs like The Most Sadistic (ft. Ill Bill), Burn the Groove to DeathYou’re DeadUndergroundI’m Sick of You, and Cockroaches.
    8. On November 13, 2001, he released his 2nd studio album Gory Days and it became his quickest selling release at the time.
    9. He was fined $3,000 on June 5, 2009, for breaking the jaw of a man in Perth, Australia.
    10. Necro’s 6th album, Die, was released on May 18, 2010, and it peaked at #48 on the U.S. Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
    11. He was 11 years old when he started performing and has opened for a number of groups like Run DMCBeatnuts, Sepultura, , Insane Clown Posse, Napalm Death, and Biohazard.
    12. Alongside Arielle Holmes, Caleb Landry Jones, Buddy Duress, and Eleonore Hendricks, he co-starred as Skully in the 2014 psychological drama film Heaven Knows What.
