- He made his theatrical film debut by playing the character named Bob in the 1983 action comedy film, Coolie, in which he co-starred alongside the likes of , , Shoma Anand, Rati Agnihotri, Kader Khan, and . However, while filming an action sequence with Amitabh Bachchan, Issar accidentally injured him almost fatally and had to suffer a lot of backlash from the industry for the same.
