    1. On June 11, 1941, he marked his footprints, handprints, and signature (together with his then-wife Barbara Stanwyck) in cement in the forecourt of Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood.
    2. Taylor, who was right-handed, had to practice perfectly drawing a gun with his left hand for weeks in preparation for his character in Billy the Kid (1941).
    3. He has appeared in 3 films that were nominated for ‘Best Picture’ Oscars: Broadway Melody of 1936 (1935), Quo Vadis (1951), and Ivanhoe (1952).
    4. He remained close friends with the legendary Hollywood star, . Moreover, Taylor was one of the pallbearers at Gable’s funeral held in November 1960.
    5. He served as the inspiration for the fictional antihero character named Diabolik that appeared in the popular Italian comic series of the same name in the 1960s.
    6. The then-Governor of California, , who was a good friend of Taylor’s gave the eulogy at his funeral.
    7. A staunch anti-communist, Taylor appeared before the House Un-American Activities Committee in the 1950s. As a result, his films were banned in Soviet-occupied Hungary and Czechoslovakia, and communists demanded that his films be boycotted in France as well.

      Robert Taylor was 76 kg (168 lbs) to be exact. His peak height was 6’0″ more or less.
