    1. His parents were always supportive of his career as a professional cricketer.
    2. Roston considers his brother to be his mentor.
    3. He attended the same school as and .
    4. Growing up, the best Test match he had ever witnessed was West Indies versus Australia in March 1999. It was due to Brian Lara, who scored 153 not out in the 4th innings of the match, and secured West Indies’ win by 1 wicket. This was considered the best innings ever played in Test cricket.
    5. As a batting all-rounder, he is a right-arm off-spin bowler and a right-handed batsman.
    6. He wasn’t very confident in his bowling when he started out. Mushtaq “Mushy” Ahmed, a former legspinner for Pakistan, who later became a consultant for West Indies, helped him practice.
    7. He scored his maiden first-class century during the domestic 2014-2015 season against the Windward Islands with 120 not out from 241 balls.
    8. Roston has a ritual that started when he scored his first Test hundred against India in 2016, which ultimately saved the game. He crossed his arms to form the letter “X” which was a symbol for the Christ Church Parish, his hometown.
    9. West Indies Players’ Association named him “Cricketer of the Year” and “Test Cricketer of the Year” in July 2017.
    10. Roston was named “Best Regional Limited-Overs Cricketer of the Year” at the Cricket West Indies’ Awards held in June 2018.

    16. His Barbadian teammates have a running joke that if he was a superhero, his name would be Crisis Man. Roston admitted to relishing the situations where his team is under high pressure and he has to “dig it out of the hole.”
