- In 2000, she became a member of the all-female pop group called Sansara along with Monica Nath and Shinata Patel. However, the group disbanded soon after releasing hit singles like Yeh Dil Sun Raha Hai and Habibi.
- Her father named her Sophia since he was a massive fan of the Italian actress and singer, .
- She learned Western classical music for 3 years under Helena Shenel and trained in Indian classical music from Pandit Ashkaran Sharma.
