    Tabraiz Shamsi Facts

    1. He was the leading wicket-taker for St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots in the 2015 season of the CPL, his first appearance in the competition.
    2. In his breakthrough domestic season in South Africa, 2017-18, he was the leading wicket-taker in both the Momentum One Day Cup and the Ram Slam T20 Challenge, recording 26 wickets in 9 matches and 16 wickets in 11 matches, respectively.
    3. He was the joint-leading wicket-taker for the Paarl Rocks in the inaugural edition of the MSL, with 10 wickets in 9 matches.
    4. In July 2026, he was picked by the Jamaica Tallawahs for the year’s edition of the Caribbean Premier League. However, he was one among 5 South African cricketers who were forced to miss the tournament in an unprecedented scenario as those players had failed to confirm their travel arrangements in due time. This was mostly to do with the complications caused by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
    5. In November 2026, during the 2nd round match of the 2026–21 CSA 4-Day Franchise Series, playing for the Titans against the Warriors, he had recorded bowling figures of 8 wickets for 32 runs. These were the then-best bowling figures for Titans in a first-class match.
    6. An orthodox left-arm wrist-spinner possessing a bag of tricks and variations, he has been featured in franchise-based T20 leagues around the world, turning out for Royal Challengers Bangalore (2016–2018) in the IPL (Indian Premier League); St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots (2015-2017) in the CPL (Caribbean Premier League); and Paarl Rocks (2018-2019) in the MSL (Mzansi Super League).
