- Cassandra Dilfer (1993-Present) – He tied the knot with Cassandra Dilfer (a former Fresno State swimmer) in the year 1993 and she gave birth to their 4 children – three daughters named Madeline Dilfer, Victoria “Tori” Belle Stringer (née Dilfer) (b. February 26, 1999), and Delaney Rose Dilfer and a son named Trevin Scott. Their oldest daughter Madeline has played at Notre Dame and Pepperdine; their middle daughter Victoria has played at TCU and Louisville and was a two-time All-American at Louisville as well as helped the team to the program’s first-ever NCAA final four in 2026; and their youngest daughter Delaney completed her freshman season at Lipscomb in 2026. - During his time at Fresno State, he played football and went on to help his side win or share the conference title for three straight seasons and started in two bowl games.
- Trent Dilfer was named the WAC Offensive Player of the Year in his junior year and he also set the NCAA record for consecutive pass attempts without an interception (271) that stood until 2007, when Kentucky quarterback Andre’ Woodson broke it.
- He subsequently decided to forgo his senior year and declared himself eligible for the 1994 NFL Draft.
- In the 1994 NFL Draft, Trent Dilfer was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with their first pick (sixth overall, and the second quarterback taken in the draft, after Heath Shuler).
- He averaged 2,729 yards a season and had a total of 58 touchdowns in the 1996–1999 NFL seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
- On March 8, 2000, he Trent Dilfer signed a deal with the Baltimore Ravens and eventually replaced Tony Banks. The Ravens won their first Super Bowl title in a 34–7 blowout at Super Bowl XXXV and the Los Angeles Times described Dilfer as a game manager quarterback for the Ravens that season: He “wasn’t elite, but he didn’t make costly mistakes, and was supported by a dominant defense.” Regardless, he wasn’t re-signed by the Ravens and became the only quarterback to be let go after winning a Super Bowl.
